All scores both home and away must be posted and players are responsible for posting their own scores. The Handicap Chair will keep all score cards for the weekly games, verify postings, and if required, correct and notify the player of any corrections. She will then ask the Pro Shop to re-post the corrected score. She will also keep the official list of player handicaps, as provided by the Pro Shop. The maximum course handicap for all TLGL events is 36.
For posting, we follow the Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) procedure. For the weekly game, however, the score card should reflect the actual stroke count on the hole followed by /equitable stroke. An example is 9/7. That golfer had a nine on the hole which they would use for scoring for the game but their handicap dictates they post a 7.
Equitable Stroke Control (ESC)
The present procedure sets the maximum score a player can post on any hole, and is based on the player‛s course handicap as follows:
EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL (ESC)
Course Handicap Maximum Score on Any Hole
9 or less Double Bogey 10 through 19 7 20 through 29 8 30 through 39 9
40 or more 10
